# Askforce — Full Reference

> Askforce is a natural language interface for Salesforce CRM. It translates plain English
> questions and commands into Salesforce queries and write actions, removing the need for
> SOQL knowledge or dashboard configuration.

## Product Overview

Askforce connects to a user's Salesforce org via OAuth and provides:

1. **Query interface** — Users type natural language questions; Askforce generates and
   executes SOQL queries, returning tabular or summarised results.

2. **Write actions** — Users can describe CRM updates ("mark the opportunity with Acme as
   Closed Won"); Askforce proposes the changes and executes them after user confirmation.

3. **Meeting assistant** — Users paste or record meeting transcripts. Askforce identifies
   action items (follow-ups, record updates, new contacts) and maps them to Salesforce objects.

4. **BYOAI (Bring Your Own AI)** — Teams on eligible plans can supply their own OpenAI or
   Anthropic API keys so LLM calls are billed to their own accounts.

## Supported Salesforce Objects

Askforce works with any standard or custom Salesforce object the authenticated user has
access to. Common use cases include:

- Opportunities (pipeline queries, stage updates, close date changes)
- Accounts (account summaries, contact lookups, activity history)
- Contacts (search, create, update)
- Tasks and Activities (logging calls, emails, meetings)
- Leads (status updates, conversion)
- Cases (Service Cloud — status, priority, assignment)
- Custom objects (supported via schema introspection)

## Authentication & Security

- Salesforce OAuth 2.0 with PKCE — no Salesforce password is stored
- JWT-based session tokens (2h TTL) issued by the Askforce backend
- Per-user and per-org daily query rate limits enforced server-side
- Trial gate — expired trials receive HTTP 402 with upgrade prompt
- BYOAI keys encrypted at rest (AES-256)
