Settings & AI
Askforce supports two AI modes — managed (default) and BYOAI (Bring Your Own AI key). Choose your provider, pick a model, and control how the AI processes your Salesforce data.
AI mode
Go to the Settings tab (gear icon) to configure AI preferences. There are two modes:

Managed mode
In managed mode, Askforce handles the AI calls using its own API keys. This is the default for all plans. Your queries count against your plan's daily limit.
Managed mode uses Claude Haiku by default — no configuration needed.
BYOAI mode
BYOAI (Bring Your Own AI) lets you use your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key. Your queries are billed directly by the AI provider at their standard rates, not counted against your Askforce daily limit.
Setting up BYOAI
- Open Settings → AI Mode and toggle to BYOAI
- Select your provider: OpenAI or Anthropic
- Tap the API key field and enter your key
- Select a model from the list
You can enter keys for both providers independently — switching between providers just changes which key is active. Keys are stored separately for each provider.
Choosing a model
The model picker only shows models for your currently selected provider. Switching provider resets the model to the first available option for that provider.

For most users, Claude Sonnet 4.6 or GPT-4o offer the best balance of speed and accuracy for complex queries.
API key storage
Your API keys are stored only on your device in the iOS Keychain — the same secure encrypted storage used for Salesforce tokens. Keys are never sent to Askforce servers and never leave your device except in direct calls to the AI provider.
To remove a key, clear the API key field in Settings and save. The key is immediately deleted from the Keychain.
